A performance will usually include two out of my eight Taylor acoustic guitars. Each has a unique sound and story.
The Line 6 Variax 700 Acoustic guitar mimics any of sixteen acoustic instruments using "modeling" (e.g., 12-strings, large and small acoustics, mandolin, etc...). Furthermore, its solid body makes it impervious to feedback. This allows me to create bass lines and overdriven electric-guitar sounds for some of the more complicated songs involving loops.
The latest addition is the Taylor 50th Anniversary 316ce Baritone-6 guitar. With thicker strings (.016-.070") and tuned down half an octave, this guitar adds very interesting sounds and expanded options to The Repertwaar!
The Helix offers very powerful signal processing features that enable me to sound my best. It also offers extensive programming for songs with solos, bass lines, and other special features.
But stay tuned...
2024 Features an upgrade to my fleet of Bose portable PA equipment: The highly acclaimed L1Pro32 line array is usually all I need for excellent audio quality.
Besides the sound, here's what I like about it:
* Small footprint for tight venues;
* Non-intimidating appearance for quiet venues;
* 180° dispersion for wide venues;
* 1500W to fill a small outdoor park.
The L1Pro32 is an improvement over the previous L1Pro16 that will result in a better listening experience for listeners at the back row without making it louder for listeners in the front.
For larger outdoor venues, I add the second Sub1 subwoofer to enhance bass volume and the S1Pro for wider dispersion (see picture).
